The word “tourbillon,” is defined as either a whirlwind, spiral firework, or mechanical component of a timepiece. Intense moments of surging energy are connected by contrasting peaceful sections. The marimbist and string quartet are highly interactive, frequently displaying the virtuosity of the marimbist.
